Ripple Partners with Travelex Bank to Launch ODL in Brazil
As Ripple announced in a statement yesterday, it is launching crypto-enabled enterprise payments with the help of Travelex Bank in Brazil.
Travelex is the first bank in Latin America to use ODL as well as the first bank registered and approved by the Central Bank of Brazil to operate exclusively in foreign exchange.
Ripple’s on-demand liquidity (ODL) services will become a solution for fast and affordable cross-border payments in Brazil. By using the platform’s native XRP token, customers will be able to send money abroad. The move will mark a further step towards adoption of digital assets across Brazil and Latin America.
Following the news, the price of the XRP token has risen by about 1%.
