Bitgert (BRISE) Review 2022

Bitgert is a layer-1 network for dApps that has the highest throughput (100,000 TPS) and lowest fees ($0.00000001 per transaction) among all known blockchains.

Initially a BSC-based token, Bitgert has delivered a dedicated blockchain with a great variety of ecosystem products in just a few months. Such traction helped the project attract dozens of protocols to its mainnet and ensure a decent price dynamic even amidst crypto winter. Find out how BRISE distributes investor rewards from a 12% tax, why its team remains anonymous, and what’s on Bitgert’s roadmap.

Bitgert (BRISE) Review 2022

About Bitgert (BRISE)

Bitgert emerged in August 2021 under the name Bitrise. It is a staking platform and a decentralized exchange on Binance Smart Chain built as an alternative to PancakeSwap. Bitrise’s native token, BRISE, is a BEP20 asset created to bring rewards to its holders. Besides DeFi features, Bitrise used to offer auditing services – any platform could get a free smart contract audit in under 48 hours.

In December 2021, Bitrise was renamed Bitgert and addressed one of the greatest challenges in the crypto industry – high fees and poor throughput of public blockchains. Although things got better in the past few years (new PoS chains charge a few cents worth of gas and allow for hundreds of transactions per second), ever-evolving segments such as DeFi, NFT, and Web3, still needed more.

The Bitgert blockchain, or Brise Chain, went live in February 2022. It enables processing 100,000 transactions per second (which is twice as many as Solana does), its block time is 15 seconds, and the gas fee is just $0.00000001 per transaction. The blockchain’s native asset is BRISE, custom tokens are issued in the BRC20 format.

Bitgert Chain is EVM-compatible – any Ethereum or BSC-based dApp can be easily deployed on this network. Faster transaction finality and near-zero fees have attracted many projects to the Brise Chain, while its numerous ecosystem products facilitate its use – Brise dApp wallet, DEX, Bridge, Exchange, and others.

Bitgert (BRISE) Team

The Bitgert team is anonymous – it is unknown who has founded the project and who runs it today. In January 2022, the company tweeted that the developer, project owner and director of Bitgert is Gert Sanem, but “he will stay anonymous for various reasons including the personal well-being of himself & his family.” The tweet also mentioned pseudonymous Dominick Rogers as Manager, Ioakim Smirnov as Chief Marketing Officer, and Slava Alexeeva as Twitter correspondent.

In another statement one month later, Bitgert removed all the team info and stated that the platform will be an “undoxxed project.” The company said they did it “to protect the team and give the ability to move ahead with strength and without fear.”

Bitgert (BRISE) Roadmap

The official Bitgert roadmap V2 is divided into 12 stages spanning from July 2021 to January 2025. Five stages, 2-3 months each, have already been completed as of September 2022. The current one, Stage 06, lasts from August to November 2022, and includes the following:

  • Bitgert will launch Paybrise dApp in beta – an application that will allow merchants to accept payments in BRISE coin.
  • Paybrise will be integrated into the official Brise Wallet.
  • Startup Studio, the platform helping entrepreneurs build their business with Bitgert, will be expanded. The company aims to facilitate the launch of 1000+ new projects in the next 12 months, in addition to 30 that already run on the Brise Chain.
  • User Interface Wireframe for Bitgert’s decentralized marketplace will be developed.
  • The company will build new strategic partnerships – to ensure listing of BRISE on top exchanges and attract new protocols in its ecosystem.
  • Centralized Exchange for Android will launch in beta.

During the upcoming Stage 07 from December 2022 to February 2023, Bitgert plans to:

  • Launch Paybrise and decentralized marketplace in beta on mainnet.
  • Launch CEX on mainnet for Android.
  • Work at Web 3.0 Geo Data Mapping Graphics. More details are to be announced.

Between 2023 and 2025, Bitgert plans to launch Web3 geo data map and oracle, decentralized B2C and freelancer marketplaces, and decentralized VPN. When the current roadmap is completed, Roadmap V3 will be introduced.

Bitgert (BRISE) Network

Bitgert on BSC

Initially, Bitgert was launched as a token on Binance Smart Chain. A big part of the liquidity was concentrated in the BRISE/BNB pool on PancakeSwap. The token still runs on BSC, and there is a 12% tax on every Bitgert transaction (buy, sell, and transfer) that includes:

  • 5% buyback – tokens are withheld in the smart contract and then buy out BRISE from the liquidity pool. They are further burned to ensure deflationary pressure on the token.
  • 4% from every transaction is spread between all BRISE holders as rewards in BNB. Investors simply need to keep Bitgert tokens in their wallets to automatically receive rewards.
  • 3% tax is charged for marketing purposes.

Bitgert Chain

Transactions on the BRC20 blockchain are free from any tax – you only have to pay a $0.00000001 gas fee. BRISE, this chain’s native coin, is used as a P2P payment system inside the Bitgert decentralized wallet. As of the beginning of September, 2022, there have been 118K+ wallet addresses and 1,7M+ transactions made in the Brise chain, according to ScanBRC.

BRC20 chain is an EVM-compatible blockchain, meaning that any protocol could easily migrate there from Ethereum or BSC. Like the latter, the Brise Chain is secured with the Proof of Authority consensus mechanism – there is an array of authorized nodes that confirm blocks. This solution ensures limited decentralization but allows for short block times and ultra-low fees.

Bitgert Ecosystem

Brise Chain is less than 1 year old, but it already boasts a good adoption rate. The blockchain hosts many protocols, of which most notable are: Knit Finance cross-chain wrapped assets protocol, miidas – world’s first NFT marketplace for both digital and physical assets, Sphynx Labs and Icecream Swap decentralized exchanges.

Here are the Bitgert ecosystem productsdeveloped by the BRISE team:

  • BRISE dApp Wallet. The native mobile wallet of the Bitgert ecosystem allows users to send, receive, store, and trade tokens on BRC20 Chain and other EVM-compatible networks, including Ethereum and BSC.
  • Centralized exchange. The beta version of the Bitgert Exchange went live on March 6, 2022. It positions itself as the “world’s first-ever zero trading fee crypto exchange” and currently allows trading Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, and Dogecoin.
  • BriseSwap. This decentralized exchange keeps a big portion of the BRISE liquidity and allows users to trade BRC20 tokens, earn on farms, etc.
  • Bridge. The main purpose of this tool was initially to ensure Bitgert’s migration from BSC to the Brise Chain. Now, the Bridge ensures native cross-chain communication – it allows swapping stablecoins and other tokens between BRC20, ERC20, BEP20, and Polygon. Bitgert Bridge transactions are not charged with taxes.
  • Paybrise. Great speed, high throughput, and negligible fees allow using Bitgert for P2P money transfers. Paybrise is a payment gateway that helps merchants seize this opportunity and accept BRISE. Paybrise dApp is in beta now, and it will be launched before November 2022, according to the official roadmap.
  • Startup Studio. This project helps businessmen and organizations fundraise to implement their ideas and launch them on the Brise Chain. The Studio assists in smart contract development, tech support, marketing, and connecting with investors and incubators.
  • Bitgert OS. At the end of August 2022, Bitgert announced it would develop its own “first-ever decentralized operating system focused on user privacy, security, speed, stability, and accessibility.” More details will be announced soon.

How to Mine Bitgert (BRISE)

Bitgert is a token that runs on Binance Smart Chain and Bitgert blockchain, so you can’t mine it. However, you can earn it in several other ways.

The BSC-based BRISE can be staked to bring you rewards. The staking of the native Bitgert blockchain’s BRISE coin will also be launched soon. The protocol announces up to 80% APY earnings.

Bitgert (BRISE) Value Data

As of September 7, 2022, BRISE is trading at $0.0000007892, which is about 300% from this year’s low. The coin skyrocketed after the BRC20 Chain was launched in February and reached an all-time high of $0.00000404. Another reasons that brought the coin to its price peak were the release of Bitgert Exchange in beta, as well as the introduction of new partnerships and new listings.

After the price declined in May and June, Bitgert continued its growth in the last months of summer. This happened as the platform’s TVL increased from $5M to $10M in just one month, which sparked a FOMO facilitated by Bitgert’s high media activity. New protocols continue to adopt Brise Chain and deploy in its ecosystem, but Bitgert is still relatively young and is yet to prove itself.

The circulating supply of BRISE is 395,688B tokens, and its market cap is as high as $306 million. Bitgert ranks 220th on CoinGecko.
