What is Telos (TLOS)?
Telos is a blockchain network built on EOSIO software, introducing governance, distribution, and efficiency improvements while remaining fully compatible with EOS smart contracts. Telos was designed to be more responsive to token holders and provide a sustainable environment for dApp developers.
The native token of the Telos network is TLOS. It represents ownership and governance rights within the network. At launch, TLOS tokens were distributed to EOS holders based on a genesis snapshot, with a cap of 40,000 TLOS per address to prevent centralization and the creation of “whales”. The Telos mainnet and token activation processes ensure that users can stake, vote, and transfer tokens securely, while the Telos Foundation supports the network’s growth, funding early projects and supporting resources like RAM.
TLOS tokens allow holders to participate in governance decisions, vote for block producers, and use the network’s resources.
