NOWLoans – A Premium Loans Service by ChangeNOW

ChangeNOW accepts the following coins and tokens as collateral: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Firo (FIRO), Nano (NANO), DogeCoin (DOGE), Ripple (XRP), DigiByte (DGB), Uniswap (UNI), Chainlink (LINK), Maker (MKR), Chiliz (CHZ), Synthetic Network (SNX), Compound (COMP), EnjinCoin (ENJ), Basic Attention Token (BAT), SushiToken (SUSHI), yearn.finance (YFI), 0x (ZRX), Fantom Token (FTM), and Bancor (BNT).

There is always room for improvements, and in the future we plan to add more coins acceptable as collateral, including Monero (XMR), Zcash (ZEC), Dash (DASH), TRON (TRX), Litecoin (LTC), Algorand (ALGO), and others. 

Loans are sent in USDT or USDC.

How to take out a NOWLoan?

NOWLoans requires the following steps to get you all set:

1. Log in to your ChangeNOW account and visit the premium loans page.
2. Select your collateral and the currency you want to loan from the two dropdown menus at the top. Our exchange supports over 20 different assets as collateral.
3. Enter the collateral amount that you want to deposit or the desired loan you wish to take out. 
4. The calculator will automatically display the annual interest rate (APR) that you owe at the end of the loan period.
5. Click on the ‘Get Loan’ button, and enter the address where your loan will be paid out.
6. Confirm that all loan details are correct and click on confirm. 
7. ChangeNOW will show you a deposit address where the collateral needs to be deposited. 
8. The system will recognize any incoming transaction and ask you to confirm it with your phone number. 
9. Once the transaction has been confirmed on the blockchain, your loaned assets will be released to the chosen wallet address.

How to take advantage of a bull market

Here is an example of how NOWLoans can be beneficial when the market is on the rise:

• Imagine that you want to deposit 1 Bitcoin as collateral to take out a loan in USDT. Let’s say the price of one Bitcoin is $40.000, for example. In that case, you will receive 20.000 USDT as a loan due to ChangeNOW’s 50% loan-to-value rate.
• You can then take that $20.000 and buy Bitcoin with it. 
• Imagine that after four months, when the value has appreciated, you are satisfied with your gains. You decide to sell your previously purchased coins for $26.000, for example. 
• Close your loan contract and pay the $660 interest that you owe. 
• Your Bitcoin collateral will be returned after paying the interest, and you are going home with an additional $5.400 of profit. 

What to do in a bear market

When there is a bear market, you can take out a NOWLoan and short Bitcoin:

• You can send, for example, 80.000 USDT or USDC to get a loan in Bitcoin. 
• If one Bitcoin is valued at $40.000, your 80.000 USDT collateral will get you one BTC as a loan thanks to our fixed LTV rates.
• Since you expect the prices to drop, you can sell the loaned Bitcoin sum for $40.000 and wait until the bull market kicks in. 
• Let’s assume that after a month, Bitcoin’s price has decreased to $32.000/coin, so you decide to buy back BTC for $40.000. Due to the decrease in the coin’s value, you will get more Bitcoin for the same investment.  
• After the purchase, you can close your loan and pay the indicated interest rate. A 10% APR requires that you buy 1.0083 BTC for 32.265 USDT in total.
• After the loan is paid back, your 80.000 USDT collateral will be returned, and you get to pocket $7.735 on the price movements. 

Important notes

Each deposited collateral has a liquidation price (LP). If the asset's value drops below the liquidation level, the collateral will be liquidated, and the loan will be closed. But don’t worry. ChangeNOW will send multiple notifications informing you that your collateral is reaching its liquidation price. This will give you enough time to decide your course of action.

With NOWLoans, you can loan as much crypto as you want. There are no maximum limits, but the minimum amount is usually around $100 worth of crypto. 

Please note that any loan shorter than 30 days will require an extra $100 as a closing fee.
