Telos is a blockchain network built on EOSIO software, designed to enhance governance, decentralization, and efficiency while remaining fully compatible with EOS smart contracts. Telos aims to create a responsive and sustainable environment for dApp developers and token holders.
The network’s native token, TLOS, represents ownership and governance rights. At launch, TLOS tokens were distributed to EOS holders via a genesis snapshot, with a cap of 40,000 TLOS per address to prevent centralization. The Telos mainnet enables secure staking, voting, and token transfers, while the Telos Foundation supports network growth, funds early projects, and maintains resources like RAM for developers.
