What is Algorand?

Algorand is a permissionless blockchain network that works using the Proof-of-Stake algorithm. The platform helps removes the hassles that limit the rapid adoption of blockchain technology, by allowing developers to build scalable and secure applications on the network.

The Algorand Network made its foray back in 2019 and has the ALGO Token as the network’s native token. With a total supply of 10 Billion tokens, the ALGO now ranks as one of the top 100 cryptocurrencies by Market capitalization.
